Just do it a lot.

There’s really no substitue for doing the thing—writing, writing, writing. And editing. And learning from the edits.

And then writing some more.

read lots of ads… learn the lingo… what other writers do. The more ads you read, you learn discernment… you learn what kickass copy that converts looks and sounds like… it improves your tastes.

One of the most fun things I’ve done was to buy a box of tabloids on ebay and read through them. the sensationalism. The clickbaity-ness. Tons of print ads. Tons.

Pay attention to ads. Get to know the Persuasive Elements then notice where you see them in the wild. Collect your favorites. Make a website. Share with others.

Write All the Time#

Write all the time. Letters and postcards. Every opportunity that you can. Never, ever, ever worry about it being good. Just write.

The only way is to put your grit to it, as Justin said. And edit. And have others edit. And learn from the edits and do the things in the editing section.

You’ll get better. Everyone gets better.
